About us

Our Philosophy

We are committed to provide the best quality service which fosters an attitude of mutual respect, open relationship and support between staff, children, families and management. We value and support the family as partners in education.

We believe that each child is unique and needs to be respected. He develops and progresses at his own pace based on his interests, strengths & weaknesses and stages of development. This ensures that the child is challenged to his maximum potential to become a holistic person.

We ensure and encourage the provision of a safe, warm, friendly, secure, hygienic, stimulating, responsive and positive environment for children, staff and families.

We encourage all staff to work effectively as a team member, continually updating their skills, knowledge and interest through formal and informal development.

Our Curriculum

The basic components of the Montessori Curriculum, integrated for the total development of the child include:-

1. Exercises of Practical Life

-  exercises for development of child’s fine muscular coordination

-  exercises for care of self & care of environment

-  exercises for development of social skills, grace and courtesy

Through these exercises, child develops independence, motor skills and co-ordination, self-discipline, control and order, concentration, intelligence, self-esteem and social skills.

2. Sensorial exercises

-  exercises to further refine child’s sense of sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch

Child learns through his five senses and will be able to perceive shapes, colours, sizes, sounds, odours, textures, etc. The sensorial materials serve as keys to all other areas of learning and lay a solid foundation for Language, Mathematics, Science, Geography, Art & Music, etc. For example, the sound exercises lead to music; the child’s interest in sound, form and texture is utilized in learning the shapes and sounds of the alphabet.

3. Language (including Chinese)

Working on the Pink (elementary), Blue (intermediate) & Green (advance) Montessori Language series, child develops and refines his speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. A multi-sensory approach is also adopted combining phonics, stories, rhymes, songs, discussions & plays.  We aim to increase the child’s knowledge, develops his organization of thought, communication skills, confidence and ability to express and use his mind.

4. Mathematics

Child tends to observe, investigate, calculate, measure, imagine and create through manipulating concrete materials, allowing for repetition and concentration, leading child to abstraction and a love for mathematics.

5. Cultural Development

Subjects such as Biology, Geography, History and Science are introduced to child to help develop his personality, understand and adapt to different cultures and be aware of his environment.  Some of the activities include field trips and excursions, science experiments and environmental studies.

6. Creative Art

Child by nature is a natural explorer, creator and inventor. Vast experiences and opportunities are given to child to explore, create and invent. They are free to imagine, visualize and express their thoughts in the creative art lessons. Child also develops critical awareness.
